Price of Greeting Cards…?

How much do you expect to pay for a store-bought greeting card, such as a birthday card?
How much would you pay for a top-quality handmade greeting card? again using a birthday card for an example.
Would you buy handmade greeting cards from an online store if it offered free postage within Australia?
Is price a consideration when buying a greeting card? Handmade or otherwise. Or do you purchase regardless of price if it is a card that you love the look of, or that has the perfect sentiment?

The box has 5 "Happy Birthday" cards, eleven "Thank You" cards, and 4 "Get Well Soon" cards. What is the probability that she selects a "Thank You" or "Get Well Soon" card?

To find probability, you need to put the number of things of whatever you want to choose over the number of things there are to choose from. Let me demonstrate.
1. Start by finding out how many cards there are in the box.
5 Happy Birthday
11 Thank You 20 Cards
4 Get Well Soom
Now find the number of cards she wants to choose
11 Thank You
4 Get Well Soom 15 Cards
Now to find the probability of her picking either a "Thank You" or "Get Well Soon" card, you must put the number of "Thank You" or "Get Well Soon" cards over the number of cards all together.

When you divide this, you get 0.75, or 75%. There is a 75% chance Victoria would get a "Thank You" or "Get Well Soon" card.
2. Follow the same operations as above. The total is 10 segments, because there are 10 segments Isaiah could get. Therefore there is a 90% change of getting a number, since there are 9 numbers, and a 10% change he would get a "free spin." The other data, including how many times he spun the spinner, how many times he got a number, and asking what is the probability on the 11th try is all there to confuse you. This serves no purpose in the problem. Each time he spins, he has a 90% chance of getting a number.

Does anybody else think Valentine’s Day is a big ripoff fostered on the consumer by greeting…?

I read that this is the busiest day of the year for florists also and all these candy companies are raking it in, too. The flowers are nice but that candy is bad for you and e-cards, lingerie, and bakeries aren’t really selling anything you HAVE to have…jewelry to my mind should be given as a statement of one’s love and affection on a birthday or anniversary or on a very special occasion. People get too caught up in rampant consumerism on this holiday, much like they do at Christmastime. Isn’t a simple gift the best way to show someone special how you feel? Not trying to play scrooge but wondering if we should all step back and reflect for a moment before we give into buying silly items? Please feel free to agree or disagree. I’m staying anonymous so I don’t get stoned for my contrary opinion:)
I feel the same way as you do. Once Christmas is over the store owners had to think of another gift giving holiday so they could get some more cash before Easter shopping starts.
What better way than to pull out all the stops in February right slam in the middle of winter. If you do not get your "Valentine" a card, roses, dinner out, jewelry,or a sexy nightgown you are made out to be a tightwad. I remember how the women in the workplace would all compete with each other how soon their flowers from boyfriends or husband would be delivered to the office. It was all a big show and sometimes it was thought by some that a few of the women sent themselves flowers.
Don’t get me wrong, it is a good thing to tell your significant other that you love them but I don’t like being told how and how much to spend. I have been married for 43 years next week. On Valentines day I usually make a nice dinner, hubby brings home a bottle of wine and a small box of candy. When our children were young and still home we would all celebrate together and the kids would make silly little cards out of paper and crayons. Now it is just the two of us and I do not need an expensive gift nor does he. After 43 years we KNOW that we are each others valentine.

Vintage Greeting Card Images Birthday Vol 1

Do you love those old Vintage Greeting Cards? This video displays a lot of the images on the vintage cards included on my Vintage Greeting Card Images Adult Birthday Volume 1 CD. Most of the cards date in the 1940’s and 1950’s with some from the 1920’s, 1930’s and 1960’s.
All of the individual card’s main graphics are included in this video. But because of size limitations, some of the supporting graphic images and the sentiments are not included in the video.
They’re great for scrapbooking, card making, fabric transfers and lots of other craft projects.

Invitation can be personalized by filling in the blanks with your party information before printing. Big time saver!
Game winner can be personalized and printed as each guest wins a game or personalize as possible, print in advance, and then write in the name of the game winner as each game is played. Award one to every guest for something so that no one goes home empty-handed!
Save the Date cards can have a date (and/or with name added to date as space allows) typed in before printing. Cut out cards then include them with the invitations. The cards are approximately business card size and will fit easily in a purse or wallet. For a craft, laminate and/or glue a magnet on the back to make a refrigerate magnet reminder card.
Thank-you notes can have a short message or name typed in before printing, then cut out, and handed out at the end of the party as a thank you for attending. A great way to teach small children the importance of saying thank you to their guests!
Thank you letter to write a letter of thanks to each guest for the gift.
Photo frame can have a name typed in and photo glued in the center as a keepsake or party favor for grandparents and other adults. This is a nice craft to do before the party. Consider going to the dollar store and picking up some inexpensive frames for these keepsakes. This also makes a great scrapbook page border!
Placemat can be personalized with a name, printed, and used as decorative table placemats. Placemats can also be used to create a decorative banner to hang on the wall or across a doorway, or signs to post in the window or on the front door.
Party favor bookmarks can be personalized with a name and date or other text before printing. They make great party favors. Consider printing on heavy card stock or laminating. Use as streamer tails for helium balloons!
Coloring page is always great fun for kids. Consider buying small boxes of crayons or colored pencils at the dollar store, and use as a birthday party activity. The kids can keep the crayons or colored pencils as a party favor!
Balloon Craft Paper has lots of uses! For outside of invitation: Print as a design on the blank side of the birthday invitation! Also use as gift wrap, scrapbook paper, and other paper crafts. Use as a way to decorate inexpensive plain color party hats! Print on full sheet of adhesive paper, and create party hats that match the theme of the paper! Lots of uses when printed on self-adhesive paper to make stickers!
